What Will Come // Sébastien Provencher + Julia B. Laperrière

.

Description

Year of creation: 2021

Duration: 50 minutes

Duet + 1 musician on stage

What Will Come is both a question and a hypothesis. Two beings in a conditioned universe; a universe that surpasses them, but who’s laws they strive to discover, whereas it is already deconstructing. Gradually, accidents multiply; coincidences and unpredictability take over.

This creation questions the human obsession of categorization, juxtaposed with the world’s natural tendency to move towards chaos. How are categories, order and compartmentalization reflected in our bodies and in our environment? With this work, Julia B. Laperrière and Sébastien Provencher take interest in the notion of entropy as a research tool and a force for dismantling.

Available for thouth audiences! The full-length, nudity-free show is available for highschool students. An adaptation for grade school students is currently being created. Contact us for more information.
